As founder, James has built Woodbecker’s reputation for outstanding quality and service. Since starting the company, James has been able to develop and grow the business through his assertive, yet approachable leadership style. With his 30 years of construction management experience coupled with his ability to seek out talent, James has developed an efficient and highly skilled team at Woodbecker. This direction has led to the successful delivery of projects across Canada. James’ commitment to ultimate customer satisfaction challenges all team members to perform at the highest level.
Melissa is the financial and administrative lead on all projects at Woodbecker Inc., with budgets ranging from $100K to $25M. As Chief Financial Officer, Melissa is responsible for developing procedure and process for capturing project cost information and is committed to pristine accuracy and presentation. With over 15 years of business management and financial experience, Melissa possesses the ability to instill and maintain
organization even in the most complicated of projects.
Sachin is a professional engineer with a background in both design and construction management. His 12 years of project management experience has prepared him for the challenges of fast-paced projects, with significant emphasis on building systems. Sachin’s project portfolio is in the ICI sector including schools, restaurants, offices and hospitals. He also has residential experience in condos, retirement complexes and luxury homes.
Luisa holds an undergraduate degree in Architecture from Toronto Metropolitan University and has 2 years of experience in architecture design. Luisa brings a keen eye for design and detail to all projects and works closely with clients and consultants to turn ideas into reality. She collaborates daily with the admin and site-based teams to ensure everyone is connected from project inception to closeout.
Eamon has 20 years in construction with a foundation in carpentry and fine finishing. In addition to coordinating the trades on site and monitoring for quality standards, he also liaises directly with city permit authorities to clear permit stages. Eamon has been the site supervisor for several of Woodbecker’s largest projects, including the Steam Whistle Brewery’s new event and restaurant space.
Ben is a Red Seal Endorsed cabinetmaker with over 10 years of experience. He is also a Canadian Forces Reserve Veteran, and during his 14 years of service he graduated from the Leadership program and the school of Administration and Logistics for warehousing technician training. At Woodbecker, Ben has been the supervisor on finishing, trim carpentry and millwork contracts up to $500K in value.
Kevin is a long-standing employee of Woodbecker, having started with the company over 10 years ago. A graduate of the Ontario College of Trades Apprenticeship Program, Kevin has been involved in nearly all of Woodbecker’s projects due to his versatile skill set. Equally proficient in rough carpentry, trimwork, fine woodworking, and joinery, Kevin manages our woodshop and all production from our new 5′ x 10′ CNC Router.
