King Edward Hotel Renovations

An ambitious renovation of one of Toronto’s grand historical hotels, this property was changing into a mixed condo/hotel use. Woodbecker was engaged to perform renovations in two phases. Our company had to increase the fire rating of the ceilings in the lobby areas to prepare the renovation of the suites above into condo units. The ceiling needed to retain the historical aesthetics of the previous construction which we were able to achieve. This was all done while the hotel was still in operation. Additionally, the ballrooms, bathrooms, meeting and bathroom spaces all received upgraded finishes. 48 rooms received new fixtures, revised layouts and modern finishes.
